Yesterday I participated in the Spread the Love Challenge by creating ten four-word sentences about love. Today, and throughout this weekend, I would like to spread the love by asking bloggers to share their work here.
Since I began my blogging experience last September I have found that, with a few minor exceptions, the blogging community is one of love, support, and encouragement. I would like to pay it forward by offering everyone a place to share a link. I do not have a huge audience like our friend Jason over at Harsh Reality, but I am growing a wonderful group of friends here at Fill Your Own Glass with nearly 400 followers. (Thank you, thank you, and thank you a million times for clicking that little button!)
Please leave a brief one- to- two sentence description of your blog, and leave a link to a post you have written that you love. Chances are if you love it others will, too! I will get us started here:
Fill Your Own Glass is my place to share my journey from being a pessimistic, negative person to one who looks to each day with realistic optimism. In the post I wrote that I love I tackle the delicate subject of choosing to remain childfree by using a playful metaphor. You can find it here.
I would love it if you would all jump in and share your blog, along with a link to a post you wrote that you love. Love is in the air, my friends! Jump on in! Pssssttt….this means you, too, silent readers out there. I follow you for a reason, so come on out and strut your stuff! All are welcome to leave your link – you need not follow this blog (though I cannot imagine why you wouldn’t…)! Also, if you leave a link make sure you visit a few as well!
Note: My blog is for the most part upbeat and encouraging, and while I overuse profanity in my daily life I do avoid it on my blog. That does not mean that I do not read bloggers who use it, because I do, and I enjoy them immensely. If you are one of those bloggers, or if you are sharing a post that is adult-themed, please note that in your comment (either by NSFW, over 18, or mature-themed, etc.).
Cheers!
Karen
I love posts like these, I always find new blogs to follow! I write about my life, my views, books, movies…there is no set theme. From my “About” page: “While I look for beauty, humor or the silver lining in all situations I’m not afraid to admit that sometimes life is about navigating tenebrous depths.
But hey, it beats death.”
Here’s one of my favorite posts about dating a clown school dropout: http://fanniefrankfurter.com/2015/01/28/i-dated-a-clown-college-dropout/

Yours was one of the first blogs I followed. You write so well, you are a natural born storyteller. Surprisingly, given my introverted nature, as a child I was determined that I would go to clown college and become a famous clown with Ringling Bros. It seemed so glamorous when I was ten!
I’m glad you stopped by to drop a link so others can enjoy your wonderful writing! I have found several new blogs to follow as well- I love it!

Brilliant post and idea!!
I started blogging last year because I was struggling to find a job after so much promise with my degree and qualifications, all of which I put tons and tons of hard work and time into. So I took a long, hard look at my life and considered all the things I really wanted to do and fashion, menswear, writing and styling all came out on top so I started my blog http://suedeandsymphony.com – it still looks slightly amateur but I’m in the process of revamping it into a more professional looking site.
I like to consider my style different from others because of my ethnic origins and my outlook on life. I try to inject a bit of my background into every post so it’s personal but still relatable for everyone. I hope you guys enjoy reading my posts and if you do, please leave a comment somwhere as I’d love to hear from my readers!!

One of the things I enjoy most about the blogging community is that we can see things from different perspectives, yet we can converse and debate about them in a considerate and respectful manner. This is quite different from other social media platforms where people rip one another limb from limb! Your posts are always relevant and insightful, and they give me cause to stop and consider my own viewpoints. I hope others will visit your blog as you are an incredibly talented writer! 🙂

Thank you so much!! I agree that the blogging community is great for conversation and being exposed to different viewpoints in a respectful way. I think it’s because people are writers, and more interested in longform discussion than the 140-character limit on Twitter (which has other advantages, but thoughtful discussion is not one of them).

Hi everyone,
I registered with WP last year but I’ve been blogging actively only for the last three months or so.

I’m glad to see you here, and thanks for leaving your link! I must sadly admit that I have not seen a single episode of Game of Thrones. I really should crawl out from under my rock and get caught up!
