Yesterday we visited Brookgreen Gardens, an amazing sculpture garden located in coastal South Carolina.  The property has over 9,000 acres featuring stunning 300-year-old live oaks, flowers in bloom, ponds, and sculptures dating back to the early 1900s.

There are several sculptures surrounded by water, giving them the beautiful illusion of being afloat in graceful repose or magnifying their strength and glory.  For this week’s photo challenge Afloat I am sharing some of the pictures I took of this magnificent artwork.

To see more pictures featuring the live oaks and the flowers in bloom please visit yesterday’s post.
