Going Down?

While hiking through Dupont State Forest in North Carolina we came across this amazing set of steps leading down for a closer look at the waterfalls.  I loved the contrasting sight and smell of the treated, processed wood against the backdrop of the natural woods.

  1. Dupont State Forest is about 40 minutes away from Asheville. If you are in the area I’d say it’s worth it. Also, Pisgah State Forest is, I believe, right on the Parkway and has waterfalls, overlooks, and trails as well. It is a beautiful area- enjoy!
